The Qihe River has the best water quality in the province and is up to standard as  a source of urban drinking water in all tests. The city's forest coverage ratio, urban green space ratio and urban green coverage ratio reach 33.3%, 39% and 44%,  respectively, winning the city honorable titles of National Forest City, National Health City and National Garden City.
